Bunny's New Home and her family in the lot

"kitten sandwich"©janneserojas2009

I haven't updated in a while because every moment home was a precious minute with Bunny before she was given to her new family this Sunday. It was with mixed feelings that we handed Bunny over to her lovely new family, we had been torn for weeks to keep her or to place her in a new home. We knew going in that we would be fostering her but we never anticipated how attached we would become. Bunny came into this home as a snarling, spitting, tiny kitten 7 weeks ago, and left a well adjusted loving young cat. Her new family has a spacious home for her to run in, a great outdoor space for her to get fresh air, 3 other cats who will provide the feline family she probably craves and two lovely tween/teen girls, Lucy and Maggie, who will give her tons of love and attention. I knew when the younger of the two sister's took off her sweater and was wearing a t-shirt emblazoned with the word KITTEN, in silver studs, that we made the right decision. I hope that our little baby is adjusting well to her new life and we thank Lucy and Maggie for putting our hearts to rest.

Here are some pics of Bunny's last few days as a foster in our home and also some pics of her family remaining in the lot that we still take care of and would like to help find homes for the kittens.

New Babies!

New baby peeking, one of twins (either Lemonjello or Orangejello).

Ok well Miss thing, little Esmé, finally let us see her babies. I think they are about 8 weeks old, there are a total of 4 kittens and their big brother Sven who's about 6 months old is still hanging out with them. Debra already named them but I think they need renaming the names are entirely too complicated, currently we have Eddy Munster, Lemonjello, Orangejello, and I can't remember the 4th, I'm calling him Lil' Lion (I know it's tiger stripe, but we had a Tigerino). I feel like these guys have to show us their personalities before getting named. Ok I have one good pic of the top of one little ones face the rest are a bit blurry and I have some Sven an Mama Esmé pics. OH! and we are pretty sure she's pregnant again.

Sven and Esmé dinner time

Sven

Sven has adjusted really well to the lot again, he even started to trust me a little more. He and his mom Esmé have some choice words for each other when it's dinner time. Esmé is onto litter number 3 and I think she might have recently moved them into the lot but haven't spotted the babies yet. There have been multiple sightings of her in the lot and tearing up garbage bags, although the whole block feeds her. Little Sven is doing well after his nuts got the snip, he's still beautiful and scared, and his mom likes to give him a good whack on the head when foods involved. Here are some pics of them both including a shot just before an intense hissing argument began and mama Esmé giant teats. I'm keeping an eye out for those babies cause' we are gonna get 'em before the cars do, we don't want anymore kittens dying on State street.

Tense moment between Mama Esmé and Sven, they hissed right after this

Mama Esmé eatin'
Mama Esmé skinny long teats!
Yummy din din! Sven licks his dinner ever so lightly, he's such a delicate boy.
I wait here til ya leave Miss, I hate that flashy thing you have.
oh back to my delish meal! yum yum yum....
so long suckas!

Daddy Hissy again, all beat up, poor guy.

Update August 5th: These are the resident cats and kittens in our lot next door. Mom and Pop have vacated the premises and are onto bigger things, they show their faces occasionally. The kittens, not all pictured, were still living in the lot until recently. One of the kittens was killed by a car the sweetest and tamest of the bunch Tigerino, and his sister Estrellita has been missing for 2 weeks. Chomps and Sven the two other boys are still living in the lot and are going to be capture for neutering and the released again. Debra and I are hoping that someone could foster them because Chomps has real potential for being a nice house cat. So if anyone is interested in fostering these kids please contact us at tinybeasttown@gmail.com. They will be neutered, dewormed, and vaccinated before they come into your home. Will most pics of the two kittens.
