R.I.P Sven

This evening I fed Sven and his siblings around 9pm and I said hi to little Sven, he was the only one around. Around 11pm I was taking Budda out for his walk and as I reached the bottom step of our apartment building I saw a little cat body laying by the curb by the fire hydrant near our building. First I thought it was Hissy, the daddy of all the babies and I started crying, then I realized that it may not be him and I looked at his little face and it was our beautiful Sven. A car must have just hit him, his body was still warm. I ran home and left Budda and got Debra, and we ran back downstairs and went over to see Sven and say our goodbyes crying hysterically, I still can't stop crying. We picked his little body up and put it aside in a bag, unfortunately this city provides no service to remove animals that have been killed on our streets. People drive like lunatics on our block they've now managed to kill the whole litter from early summer. Now I have no regrets that we took Bunny in.

Finally Pictures of all the tinies!

Sven and Yngwie Meowmsteen

Okay, so I have been really a non-participant as of late with the kittens and Debra dedicates a portion of her day every day to try and get these kittens socialized, because they are tiny wild things. There's one that we suspect is a female (LemonJello aka Tiny Dancer) who's the tiniest and the wildest. She loves to play and goes insane with the cat dancer. She'll play inside an empty plastic planter for hours and she's my favorite. One of the full tiger striped ones, Yngwie, is the largest. He's also very playful and has let Debra pet him lightly. These two will also play with their older brother Sven who's now about 7 months old and the handsomest kitty I've ever seen. The three of them, known as "Team Catdancer" are the most daring and will come out when Debra goes to feed and play with them. The other three from the most recent litter tend to hang back and will only come out with their mom, Esmé. Ok, here are a ton of pics of total cuteness.

New Babies!

New baby peeking, one of twins (either Lemonjello or Orangejello).

Ok well Miss thing, little Esmé, finally let us see her babies. I think they are about 8 weeks old, there are a total of 4 kittens and their big brother Sven who's about 6 months old is still hanging out with them. Debra already named them but I think they need renaming the names are entirely too complicated, currently we have Eddy Munster, Lemonjello, Orangejello, and I can't remember the 4th, I'm calling him Lil' Lion (I know it's tiger stripe, but we had a Tigerino). I feel like these guys have to show us their personalities before getting named. Ok I have one good pic of the top of one little ones face the rest are a bit blurry and I have some Sven an Mama Esmé pics. OH! and we are pretty sure she's pregnant again.

Sven and Esmé dinner time

Sven

Sven has adjusted really well to the lot again, he even started to trust me a little more. He and his mom Esmé have some choice words for each other when it's dinner time. Esmé is onto litter number 3 and I think she might have recently moved them into the lot but haven't spotted the babies yet. There have been multiple sightings of her in the lot and tearing up garbage bags, although the whole block feeds her. Little Sven is doing well after his nuts got the snip, he's still beautiful and scared, and his mom likes to give him a good whack on the head when foods involved. Here are some pics of them both including a shot just before an intense hissing argument began and mama Esmé giant teats. I'm keeping an eye out for those babies cause' we are gonna get 'em before the cars do, we don't want anymore kittens dying on State street.

Tense moment between Mama Esmé and Sven, they hissed right after this

Mama Esmé eatin'
Mama Esmé skinny long teats!
Yummy din din! Sven licks his dinner ever so lightly, he's such a delicate boy.
I wait here til ya leave Miss, I hate that flashy thing you have.
oh back to my delish meal! yum yum yum....
so long suckas!

R.I.P. Mr. Chomps

We are incredibly heartbroken, this has been probably one of the shittiest weeks in my life. The cherry on top of that crap cake is Mr. Chomps was killed by a car, one day before he was supposed to get trapped to get neutered and hopefully have found a good home for him. His little life was snuffed out by a speedy asshole, people race down our street like it's the BQE, which has killed 3 of the 4 kittens we were caring for. Baby Sven is the only one left and luckily he was trapped last night, so he will be neutered, tested and if he's able to be socialized we will try to find a home for him, any volunteers?

Meet the LeFucker's

Estrellita and Tigerino(R.I.P. little man)

Estrellita
Daddy, Hissy

Momma, Esmé
Daddy Hissy again, all beat up, poor guy.

Update August 5th: These are the resident cats and kittens in our lot next door. Mom and Pop have vacated the premises and are onto bigger things, they show their faces occasionally. The kittens, not all pictured, were still living in the lot until recently. One of the kittens was killed by a car the sweetest and tamest of the bunch Tigerino, and his sister Estrellita has been missing for 2 weeks. Chomps and Sven the two other boys are still living in the lot and are going to be capture for neutering and the released again. Debra and I are hoping that someone could foster them because Chomps has real potential for being a nice house cat. So if anyone is interested in fostering these kids please contact us at tinybeasttown@gmail.com. They will be neutered, dewormed, and vaccinated before they come into your home. Will most pics of the two kittens.
